Let’s start by saying that more and more graphic designers are moving away from minimalist design and monochromatic palettes to bolder design styles, including us at Beconcept.<\/p>\n
Y2K style, maximalism, experimental fonts, psychedelic mood and (the now inevitable) AI are certainly dominating. 2023 is shaping up to be a year dedicated to breaking the rules, and we couldn’t agree more.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row el_class=”project-container”][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n
The nostalgic style of the early 2000s emerged in late 2022, following the 1990s reprise of 2021, and as of now graphic designers do not seem to have finished exploring this world. In fact, this trend has been ubiquitous on our feeds since the beginning of the year, in both fashion and decor, and design seems for now to be aligning itself with this re-enchantment with the trendier aspects of those years.<\/p>\n

More and more we see bold and explosive typography, bright colors, unexpected color combinations, and striking visual elements (with a slightly retro flavor). Display fonts and serif fonts will move to center stage as we experiment with how far the boundaries of readability can be pushed while maintaining clarity. For now, fonts with soft, organic shapes prevail, as well as playful ones in a vaguely graffiti style.<\/p>\n

Last year it was all vintage-themed, while in 2023 we draw from the past but look to the future.
